Siena giving her thank you speech and teachers in traditional clothing to say farewell to Pete and Diane
All of this activity, and the rest that will follow,
has only been achieved with grateful thanks to all of those generous people who
have donated to the project and, of course, to Diane and Peter Williams, as our first volunteers, for
their immeasurable donation of time and effort ….
Diane
and Pete report that they were not sure what they were letting themselves in for ...."but there were
funny moments...we did enjoy interacting with everyone...they are
so genuine and warm... and came away feeling very appreciated for
our efforts...we understood their appreciation when we realized
how many children and schools there are in townships and how
hard it will be for the govt to ever provide enough.
It felt good to make a little difference. We feel our
experience at the school was the cream on the cake after a great holiday in Southern Africa which included
mixing with Springbok rugby supporters, and viewing many animals
in nearby Kruger National Park."
